As the Director of Growth & Innovation at Deep South Today, Lauchlin Fields spearheads the DST Connect initiative, blending her rich background in journalism with digital innovation. Initially contracted to help launch Mississippi Today, Lauchlin’s journey there evolved to her becoming Audience Development Director, where she led key digital transformation and audience engagement initiatives.
In her current role at Deep South Today, she focuses on developing sustainable, community-centric news models, leveraging her extensive experience to redefine local storytelling in the digital era. Lauchlin also founded and ran Front Porch Fodder and The ‘Sip Magazine, ventures that highlight her commitment to authentic storytelling and innovative communication strategies.
A Mississippi native, Lauchlin’s work is deeply informed by her Southern Studies background and her early career in traditional journalism. She lives in Vicksburg, Mississippi, with her wife and two sons.
