David Francis, Executive Director of Verite News, began his career as a CPA, auditing clients across multiple industries. His financial expertise broadened when he directed regional financial operations for PepsiCo. His 25-plus years of media experience includes the board presidency of the Louisiana Press Association, as well as a leadership role in transitioning a legacy media company owned by Advance Publications to a digital-first media entity.
His is the retired Executive Vice President and Publisher of NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, working for NOLA Media Group and its predecessor, The Times-Picayune, for more than 24 years.
A native of New Orleans, he has served as the board president of several major community nonprofits.
